IBIS is the business hotel brand of Interglobe Group, which has a presence across multiple locations in India. The design seeks to break away from the standardized expression of template-based hotels. The community areas of the project, at the base and top of the hotel, are highlighted in the architectural massing to express its identity. At the base, the lobby, bar and all-day dining are spaces that flow into each other, maximizing the experience of space at ground floor level. This space is extended outside the glass to the landscaped setback, to give it an expanse even within this very compact site. At the top, the gym and terrace dining area add lightness and emphasis to the building’s form.
